RELATED: Chicory: A Colorful Tale Surprise Ported to SwitchĪccording to Fanbyte, Wildermyth was developed for Java which isn't supported on the Switch meaning that Worldwalker Games will need to do some heavy lifting to get the game running on the console-handheld hybrid. Given how popular the RPG has been on PC, a port to consoles feels like a good move for the game however, fans won't be given a finalized release date for quite some time. Unfortunately, there isn't a proper release date for it yet, but Worldwalker Games' Nate Austin has confirmed that a console port is in the works and that Switch fans can expect it coming in the future.Īustin spoke about the game with Fanbyte on the site's podcast Thanks for the Knowledge earlier this week and, although the episode won't be airing until December 19, Fanbyte has announced that a Wildermyth Switch port was confirmed during the discussion. 2021 has been a great year for indie games coming to the Switch and now one of the year's hottest indie titles, Wildermyth, will be making its way to the platform.
